Wild Willie & Big Deal did NOT win the JPF Music Award last year, which was indeed inevitable, but the nomination gave us more self-esteem and resulted in four swollen heads!:-)

Mr. Friman's extended solo on guitar has been an integral part of one episode of TV-series "Missing" that has aired at least in USA and Finland!

Coming up next: The band attacks Spain in the last weekend of September 2007! Barcelona and Mallorca will never be the same again.

Wild Willie & Big Deal has been nominated for the best rockabilly album and best rockabilly song by the Just Plain Folks Music Awards crew! Boogie Station is one of the 8 albums that have entered the final stage of this years competition. Two tracks from that same album , namely Big Black Cadillac and Running Wild (somebody there likes cars!:-)), are competing with other 18 songs for the title of the best rockabilly song! This is a really big deal, since the JPF crew reviewed over 25 500 cd:s from 70 countries to pick the finalists!

Nelosen nettisivujen mukaan SE jakso "Kadonneiden jäljillä" -sarjasta esitetään perjantaina 20.10. klo 23.25.

Kyseessähän on siis amerikkalainen poliisisarja, jossa kuullaan pätkiä "Boogie Station" -levyn avausraidasta "Wild Willie Is Back In Town". Ja vissiin ainakin kahdessa kohtauksessa. Älä missaa!

Nelonen lähettää taas sarjaa "Kadonneiden jäljillä" (Missing), jonka eräässä jaksossa kuullaan yhtyeemme kappaletta "Wild Willie is back in town". Jakso esitetään laskujemme mukaan viikolla 39, eli 29. syyskuuta. Tarkennellaan aikataulua ja tiedotellaan enemmän lähempänä.

In mid-July 2005 the band visits Germany for the third time performing in Frankfurt, Weinheim and Worms. In Worms "Jazz and Joy" -festival will feature stars like Joe Cocker in addition to the widely known rock'n'roll group Wild Willie & Big Deal.

"Wild Willie Is Back in Town" was a part of the sound track of an episode of an American TV-show MISSING in January 2005! Unfortunately that soundtrack is not available in cd-form in any store near you!:-)

Wild Willie & Big Deal is having a short tour in Germany in january 2005. Besides of the fine places we have a chance to see and fine people we have a chance to meet, we also are able to play in benefit -concert for victims of the Tsunami (check: <a class="TummaLinkki" target="_blank" href="http://web.krone-music-club.de/goto/category_event/1_52_55/">http://web.krone-music-club.de/goto/category_event/1_52_55/</a>).

Our deepest condolences to everyone who have lost their friends, families, homes or their way of living...

After five months of it's release, "Boogie Station" is sold out!! Thanks for everybody who have supported our little journey into Rock 'n' Roll! We are taking this as a warrant to go on and continue to make this music we love so much!

Hi, everybody!

WW&BD drummer Hencca have started his service in Finnish army at 13th of january and he will be more or less off from the stages during the year 2003. Fortunatelly we have found two bada** skinbeaters, Detroit-Pera and Rockin' Rosenius, to replace Hencca when he is not able to play himself. Come and checkout to see how it sounds with different beat!

Recording schedule for CD number 3 is almost ready. Hopefully we can tell more about it soon...

Right now Wild Willie & Big Deal is working hard with some new songs; it's about the time to start thinking of recordings of CD nr. 3...
